You will be met and greeted by one of our Driver guides; after pick-up from the airport, they will drive you to Musanze, depending on your arrival time. Here, you can Visit the Kigali city tour and Genocide Memorial, or you can choose to visit this site on your last day. You will have dinner and spend the night at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel.
Morning after Breakfast, your Driver Guide will pick you up and drive to the Park Headquarters; you have to be at RDB’s office at 7 am for your Gorillas Tracking Briefings and comments on your tracking day, then the drive toward your starting point and start your experience with Mountain Gorillas, comeback at your Hotel for lunch and relax, in the afternoon visit ibyiwacu Culture Village to experience our traditional culture and back at the Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast (6:00 am) at the lodge, you will proceed to the park headquarters in time for the Golden Monkey Trek briefing at 06:45 am. We will then transfer you to the start point of your guide walk, which begins at 07:00 am. The high end will be spending an hour with the remarkably peaceful primates as they go about daily life, feeding, playing, resting, and raising their young. After this memorable experience, you will return to the lodge for lunch in the afternoon and visit two twin Lakes, Burera and Ruhondo, Located in Musanze. In the evening, you will return to Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.
For two days relaxing at the lake before your drive back to Kigali for your Flight to Nairobi/Kenya. These will be your free days, which you can choose to spend on Sun Beach at Serena Hotel on/Boat trip. Kayak, canoe, or Hiking and visit the tea/Coffee Plantation overnight stay at Kivu Serena Hotel.
Lake Kivu to Nairobi; After morning breakfast, you may go kayaking, depending on your Flight to Kenya; after that, the driver will return to Kigali for your flight to Kenya.
You will be met and greeted by one of our Driver guides at the airport and transferred to Giraffe Manor in the leafy suburb of Karen on the southwest outskirts of the city. You have two nights to relax at this charming and comfortable country house hotel, meet and feed the rare Rothschild giraffes for which it is famous, and do as many (or as few) excursions in the area as you like. A vehicle and driver will be at your disposal whenever required. Overnight at Giraffe Manor
After breakfast, you will check out and travel to Sweetwater’s in the secluded heart of Ol Pejeta Ranch and Rhino Reserve. Here, these magnificent beasts are given sanctuary from those who would take their lives to sell their horns. The Jane Goodall Institute operates a remarkable Chimpanzee Sanctuary where you will meet primates face to face. Your camp also overlooks one of the busiest waterholes in the area and offers some fantastic views of elephants and giraffes, as well as a myriad of other plains game. This is Africa, as Teddy Roosevelt saw years ago when he led one of the first safaris to tour Africa in comfort and splendor. Our tents at Sweetwater will remind you of this bygone era. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Sweetwater’s Tented Camp.
After breakfast, you will check out and take off on an exciting game drive to Maasai Mara. A pleasant drive across the dramatic Great Rift Valley brings you to Narok Township, a Maasai business center. After a short stop-over, you will continue to Maasai Mara Game Reserve. This enormous Reserve is part of the vast Serengeti plains, famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and home to the “Big Five”: lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will have lunch and take off on an exciting afternoon game drive, returning for an enjoyable dinner and your overnight stay at camp.
After breakfast, you will spend the day in the Maasai Mara, one of the greatest wildernesses in the world! You will participate in a morning and afternoon game drive where you will see large numbers of wild game. Residents of the park are giraffes, eland, topi, and thousands of plains game, including impala, zebra, and gazelles. There is an optional hot-air balloon ride or a trip to Lake Victoria for fishing available at an additional cost while in the Mara. On your final evening, you will participate in a Bush Sundowner - a glorious al fresco cocktail party overlooking the savannah at sunset. You will have dinner and stay overnight at Mara Sarova Game Lodge/ Base Camp Explorer.
You will rise early and take off for your last sunrise game drive before returning to the camp/lodge for a proper sit-down English breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out and drive to Nairobi, where you will check in at the hotel for dayroom use, where you can spend the rest of the day at your leisure to take part in some last-minute shopping and sightseeing. In the evening, you will be driven to the airport for your flight home. This is where your safari will end.
