On arrival in Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam, you’ll be met by a Wayfairer representative who will escort you to your transfer vehicle which takes you to the domestic terminal to catch your light aircraft flight down to Ruaha National Park.
Your first accommodation will be Ikuka Safari Camp, a lovely boutique owner run property set high on the Mwagusi escarpment, offering fantastic views to capture your imagination from the second you touch down. You will spend 4 nights in a luxury tented chalet. This is a stylish property, using natural materials and neutral colours to blend in to the environment and offers a warm atmosphere.
A brilliant social property where you can enjoy the privacy of your chalet or enjoy pre-dinner drinks at the bar to swap travel stories. A short drive away will bring you to the heart of the wildlife viewing of Ruaha where you may be the only car around as you track elephants or spot leopards lazing in the trees.

You have three full days to explore the vast wonders of Ruaha National Park, perfectly located to allow you to enjoy this stunning national park. Activities focus on the truly superb wildlife found in the valley below, however walking safaris are extremely popular and highly recommended.
Escape the crowds as you explore one of the continents remote wildernesses with game drives or safari walks. Known for its diverse landscapes of savanna, mighty baobab trees, miombo, rocky hills, kopjes and the Great Ruaha River itself; Ruaha is also home to an incredible diversity of wildlife, including some of the largest populations of elephant and lion left anywhere in Africa.
A birder’s paradise; more than 500 species of birds. Representing a biodiversity transition zone between southern and eastern Africa, many species overlap and crossover resulting in a unique wildlife display.

Today you leave the bush behind for the final part of your exclusive adventure. Catch your second light aircraft flight right across the country to the turquoise blue waters of Pemba Island.
Your final destination is the exclusive Fundu Lagoon, catch your speed boat through the mangroves and arrive right on to the beach for the ultimate finish.
