On the first day of your itinerary, the program kicks off with an airport pick-up and seamless transfer. A designated representative or driver will warmly welcome you upon your arrival at the airport, assist with your luggage, and escort you to the arranged transportation, which could be a private car, shuttle, or another suitable mode.
After a smooth transfer, you'll check into your selected accommodation, be it the Kigali Serena Hotel or the Kigali Marriott Hotel.
Rates include:Â Travel to/from the entrance gate of Akagera National Park, All meals, all local drinks (excludes premium imported brands and champagne), transfer from the entrance gate of Akagera National Park to the lodge, all lodge activities (Guided game drives, boat cruises, walking safaris), park fees, laundry, local Government taxes. In the event of a change in local taxes or the introduction of additional taxes, these rates will be adjusted accordingly.
Rates exclude:Â gratuities/tipping, visas where required, departure tax, comprehensive travel insurance policy (with medical and Evacuation insurance) valid from the date of itinerary confirmation (all guests travelling to Magashi must be covered by such a policy).
After a hearty breakfast at your lodge in Akagera National Park, you'll embark on a picturesque drive towards the renowned Volcanoes National Park. The day's journey offers a transition from the savannah landscapes of Akagera to the majestic volcanic terrain around Volcanoes.
Midway through the drive, you'll pass through Kigali, Continuing your journey, you'll head towards Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, you'll check in at the Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel or Bisate Lodge, where you can expect warm hospitality and comfortable accommodation
Morning after Breakfast your Driver Guide will pick you and drive to the Park Headquarter, you have to be at RDB’s office at 7am for your Gorillas Tracking Briefings and comments on your tracking day then the drive toward your starting point and start your experience with Mountain Gorillas, comeback at your Hotel for Lunch at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel/Bisate Lodge.
This morning, you will depart very early again with your drive to Volcanoes National Park, which will take you across the Rwandan countryside. Upon arrival the day will be spent tracking the Golden Monkeys. Dwarfed in size and reputation by the Gorillas, Rwanda’s golden monkey is well worth discovering. The golden monkeys live mainly in the park bamboo thickets and are smaller and harder to spot than their larger ape relatives, but extremely rewarding once found — the monkeys React and interact differently than gorillas, and like to play hide-and-seek in the afternoon you will go at Ibyiwacu Culture Village for Experiencing Rwandan Traditional Culture, after back at the Hotel.
Volcano National Park to Lake Kivu for two days relaxing at the lake before your drive back to Kigali for your Flight to Nairobi/Kenya this will be your free days where you can choose either to spend it on sun Beach at Serena Hotel/Boat trip. Kayak, canoeing or Hiking and visit of tea/Coffee Plantation overnight stay at Kivu Serena Hotel. Or Drive to Kigali but this day’s activities will depends on your Flight to Kenya.
You will be met at the airport and transferred to Giraffe Manor in the leafy suburb of Karen in the southwest outskirts of the city. You have 2 full nights to relax at this charming and comfortable country house hotel, meet and feed the rare Rothschild giraffes for which it is famous and do as many (or as few) excursions in the area as you like. A vehicle and driver will be at your disposal whenever required. Overnight at Giraffe Manor.
