This is a combined tour of chimpanzees in Rwanda and an Eastern lowland gorilla tour. You can select the 4-day Congo gorilla safari to enjoy a gorilla trekking tour in Kahuzi Biega National Park the known home for the eastern lowland gorillas. The next adventure holiday in Congo is watching the eastern lowland gorillas in the only known national park of Kahuzi Biega, and 3-Day Rwanda for Chimpanzees and Mountain Hikes.

Tour Plan
You will transfer from Kigali to Bukavu. On your arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by a guide from Golden Rwanda Safari Experiences and moved to Bukavu in Congo. During the journey, you will view beautiful Rwanda’s rolling hills, passing through various districts of Rwanda until you reach the Congo—Rwanda border at Bukavu. You will finalize border arrangements and cross into Congo. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Orchids.

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive in the safari jeep to visit Jane Goodall Lwiro Chimps sanctuary Kahuzi-Biege; it is here that you will be briefed about the cover. Afterward, you will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Leading Destination: Kahuzi Biega National Park (Gorillas)
Accommodation: Orchids Safari Club
During the second activity of gorilla trekking, you will be allowed to stay with the Eastern lowland gorillas for 1 hour for observation and photography as you watch them playing in the wild with their young ones. After this gorilla-watching experience, you will return to the park headquarters, where you will find the driver waiting for you, and straight away, you will be driven back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

On this day, you will wake up very early in the morning and have a cup of tea. Then, you will jump onto your safari jeep for the drive back to Rwanda side. If time allows, you will make stopovers in exciting places. Later, you will be dropped off at the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Leading Destination: Nyungwe Forest National Park (Chimps)
Today will be your day in the Nyungwe Forest. Early in the morning, you will track chimpanzees and return to the hotel for lunch. If you wish, in the afternoon, you will experience the canopy bridge trail. Afterward, you will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Leading Destination: Nyungwe Forest National Park (Chimps)
Accommodation: Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel
After breakfast, you will enter the Nyungwe forest to track the Nyungwe Colobus monkeys or waterfalls. A walk into the woods or natural trail with our knowledgeable guides versed in botany, ornithology, and interspecies relationships will be a whole new learning experience for you. You will return to the guest house for lunch and return to Kigali.

Accommodation: Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel
On this day, you will wake up very early in the morning, have a cup of tea, and enjoy your breakfast. Then, you will jump onto your safari jeep for the drive back to Kigali. If time allows, you will make stopovers at the Rwanda Ethnographic Museum and King Palace Museum in Nyanza, and after that, continue to Kigali.
