It begins in the montane rainforests of Rwanda for deep-forest encounters with chimpanzees and mountain gorillas, then transitions to the vast, open plains of Kenya. From the red-soil wilderness of Tsavo and the elephant-heavy landscapes of Amboseli beneath Mount Kilimanjaro to the world-renowned Masai Mara, this safari offers the ultimate “Apes to Big Five” experience.

Day 01 :

Arrival in Kigali

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, receive VIP assistance with your luggage and transfer to your hotel.

Day 02 :

Nyungwe Forest & Canopy Walk

Drive to Nyungwe National Park via the Nyanza King's Palace. At 3:00 PM, experience the Canopy Walk, suspended 60m above the rainforest.

Day 03 :

Chimpanzee & Colobus Monkey Trekking

A double primate day: track the vocal Chimpanzees in the morning and the acrobatic Colobus Monkeys in the afternoon.

Day 04 :

Nyungwe – Gisenyi (Lake Kivu)

Travel along the scenic Congo Nile Trail to Gisenyi. Enjoy a sunset boat cruise to see local fishermen singing as they head out for the night.

Day 05 :

Gisenyi – Volcanoes National Park

Relax by the lake with options for kayaking or cycling. In the afternoon, drive to Musanze and visit the Gorilla Guardians Cultural Village.

Day 06 :

Gorilla Tracking & Return to Kigali

The highlight of the Rwandan leg: Mountain Gorilla Trekking. After the trek, return to the capital for dinner and rest.

Day 07 :

Flight to Nairobi

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Kenya. Upon arrival in Nairobi, transfer to your hotel overlooking the Nairobi National Park.

Day 08 :

Nairobi – Tsavo West National Park

Depart for Tsavo West. Enjoy an afternoon game drive to spot elephants, lions, and leopards among the iconic red-soil landscapes and lava flows.

Day 09 :

Tsavo West – Amboseli National Park

Enjoy a morning game drive in Tsavo West before continuing to Amboseli National Park, famous for its views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Afternoon game drive included.

Day 10 :

Full Day in Amboseli

Spend the day with morning and afternoon game drives. This is an excellent opportunity to photograph large elephant herds against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro.

Day 11 :

Amboseli – Lake Nakuru National Park

Drive to the Great Rift Valley. Explore Lake Nakuru, a premier sanctuary for both Black and White rhinos and home to tree-climbing lions.

Day 12 :

Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Game Reserve

Travel to the world-renowned Masai Mara. Spend two days on unlimited game drives in search of the Big Five. This is the heart of the Great Migration (seasonal).

Day 13 :

Full Day in Masai Mara

Enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing with flexible options for morning and afternoon drives or a full-day safari with a picnic lunch. Optional Maasai village cultural visits are available in the evening.

Day 14 :

Return to Nairobi & Departure

A final breakfast in the Mara before driving back to Nairobi. Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home.
