Following a pickup in Kigali, you will enjoy a comprehensive city tour including a poignant visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. After lunch in the city, we will transfer to Musanze, the gateway to the gorillas.

After an early breakfast, we head to the park offices for a briefing and group allocation. You will then trek into the tropical rainforest to observe Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat. Observations are limited to one hour. In the afternoon, you will visit The Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn about world-class conservation efforts.

After breakfast and a briefing at the park headquarters, you will embark on a Golden Monkey trek (approximately 1–3 hours) to see these rare, colourful primates. Following lunch at the lodge, we will transfer across the country to Akagera National Park.

Enjoy a morning game drive in an open 4x4 vehicle to view water birds and aquatic wildlife around Lake Rwanyakazinga. We will continue to the Kilala Plains in the north, home to lions, giraffes, and plains game. The day concludes with an exciting night game drive to spot nocturnal hunters.

Following breakfast, you will go on a final morning game drive across the Kilala Plains to catch the predators at their most active. After lunch, we will enjoy a final scenic game drive toward the park exit as we transfer back to Kigali for your departure.
