You will be met and greeted by your Golden Rwanda Safaris driver-guide upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport. He or she will brief you on your safari before transferring you to your hotel for your overnight stay at Kigali Serena Hotel or at Governor’s residence private villa.
Pick up in Kigali and drive to Nyungwe National park on the way visit Nyanza King palace and ethnographic museums, in the afternoon at 3 Pm do Canopy walk thereafter check-in at Nyungwe Top View Hill hotel.
After breakfast you will enter the Nyungwe forest to track the Nyungwe Chimpanzees tracking. A walk into the forest with our knowledgeable guides well versed in botany, ornithology, and inter species relationships will be a whole new learning experience for you. You will return to the hotel for lunch relax at the hotel waiting for Colobus Monkey trekking, your overnight at the hotel. Accommodation: Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel
Early in the morning you will head to Kibuye via Gisakura after the hikes of Nyungwe waterfalls. Along the way you will enjoy the thousands of beautiful green hills that make up our country as well as views of Kivu Lake. Your overnight will be at the Cormoran Lodge where you can access beach of Lake Kivu with view of sunset. Accommodation:Â Cormoran Lodge (Middle range).
Today you will transfer to Gisenyi by speed boat or by vehicle (the choice is yours). Along the way you will explore the wonderful views of the different islands along Lake Kivu and some of the Congolese hills. Your overnight will be at the Kivu Serena Hotel. Accommodation Lake Kivu Serena Hotel.
After breakfast, you will spend part of the day relaxing and swimming at Kivu Serena Beach, Kayaking, cycling hiking). After you will drive to Musanze, the base town for visiting mountain gorillas. Enjoy a visit of cultural village (Gorilla guardians village) and then overnight at the Virunga Lodge night in Musanze. Accommodation: Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel
Early in the morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park for your first gorilla trek. You will arrive at the main office at 7:00am for a short briefing and coffee break before going on your trek. Your overnight will be at hotel Five Volcanoes. Accommodation: Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel
This day you will visit the golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park. You will again have to be at the main office at 7:00 am for a short briefing before your trek. Return at lunchtime, thereafter transfer to Akagera National Park via Kigali overnight stay at Ruzizi Tented Lodge.
On this day you will go for a game drive on hill side for birding guide and watching other mammals in Akagera which renowned as one of the best birding areas in the world with more than 500 species recorded at the park thereafter Back at the lodge for Lunch and relax waiting for a Sunset boat ride within Lake Ihema back after and stay at Ruzizi tented Lodge.
Second game drive Explore the area in an open 4x4 vehicle, this is an excellent way to view the water birds and many other aquatic animals seen around Lake Rwanyakazinga check and wait for a night game drive in Kirara plane with an option of seeing animal Hunting (Leopards, Lions, Hyenas) after back and overnight stay at Karenge Bush Camp.
After breakfast enter the park for your full game drive Akagera national park is the only Savannah park in Rwanda and is home to several mammal species including Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Hippos, Kobs, Zebras, Bushbucks, Waterbucks, and most recently Black Rhinos have been introduced from South Africa, making Akagera national park officially a big 5 park like it was many years ago. It is also home to numerous bird species in several habitats which include woodland, swamps, lakes, and Savannah. Back and stay at Karenge bush camp.
After late breakfast at the Camp you will pick your luggage’s and exist the park back to Kigali for a complementary city tour to visit interesting touristic spots in the city which may include the craft market, Gisozi genocide memorial site, and Kigali museums. Also engage in last minute shopping in one of the friendliest African capitals before returning to the Hotel for overnight stay.
